LAUNCH & REVIEW

MANTRUM

Jacob Chance

📖

Writer Jacob Chance manages to drag you into his stories every time.
This time it is about Rex, contractor and single father and Danika, a parking Danika doesn't want anything to do with him, but the perseverant wins and they start dating.

The originality of the dates I thought was super, I loved the Axe throwing especially.

An exerpt I really loved is:

"Wood doesn't talk back or disagree with me. I don't have to make idle conversation or worry about it's feelings. It's a silent partner, patiently waiting for me to craft it into whatever I want. and even when something goes awry with a project, it's unflappable when I rant. It doesn't tell me to be quiet or get embarrassed because I'm being too loud. Wood accepts me the way I am, flaws and all. "

This shows the vulnerability of the character Rex in a way very suiting for him.

The book is written in a smooth style and reads easily.
Only available in English but highly recommended !!

Blurb:
Mantrum: An emotional outburst or an expression of anger by an adult man.
I’ve never understood the attraction women have for an alpha male, until I meet single father, Rex Winters.
Tall, chiseled, and persistent, he tries to avoid a parking ticket by asking me out to dinner. But I know men like him. He’s a repeat offender--habitually getting into trouble and always ready to sweet talk his way out of it.
But his charm won’t work on me.
Not when he’s the reason I’m forced to attend a six-week anger management class. And especially not when I find out all six feet two inches of Rex and his two hundred pounds of sexy muscle will be joining me every single time.
It doesn’t matter how much he flirts, or how attracted to him I am. I’m the girl who enforces rules for a living and he’s the guy who breaks them.
Do opposites really attract?
I guess we're about to find out.
