This was my first read in the SWAT series and I loved it. Lani Lynn Vale wrote this little pearl beautifully. Great world building and getting to know the characters, because this is my first book I didn't know the characters from previous book like others might have. 

The prequel was necessary in this case for me to know what happened in the past between them. I love their chemistry and how things evolve and the importance of their friends in al of it. 

I am putting the rest of the series on my TBR list and recommend this book to anyone who loves alpha males and men in uniform.
